Go to the home screen and highlight the Disney Plus App, once highlighted push the button on your remote. From the settings menu, scroll to the right for Accessibility. Select the CC icon to turn 'On' or 'Off' for closed captioning. You will see a command line under picture. While watching a streaming movie, etc., press the select button on remote. For anyone else that has this problem and gets here via Google, It WAS a system level setting that must have gotten switched on for the Firestick. We cannot turn off closed captioning on xfinity stream through fire stick. Usually the feature can be found in your TV's Settings menu, under Accessibility.
